This group will be responsible for planning and carrying out events and demonstrations for the OWS movement. Team members produce signs, banners and flyers to promote events, as well as demonstration materials.

This group is responsible for communicating and providing accurate information about Occupy Melbourne to the community. Team members develop, produce and promote stories and materials that reflect the positive influence the movement is having in the community at the local, regional, national and international level.

This group is responsible for building and maintaining Occupy Melbourne's web presence, including the forum, creating group emails and distribution lists as necessary.

Gather information and create fact sheets for current political issues in government, legislation, economics, etc. Organize training sessions on various topics including finding volunteer speakers and facilitators. Research questions pertaining to the movement as needed and provide this information with sources to the public.

Build relationships with unions, churches, clubs and other local groups of interest. Maintain a list of current issues and events which affect these groups and coordinate efforts to support them.

Maintain a list of political figures and current bills, petitions and issues related to the movement. Coordinate efforts to contact the appropriate politicians in regards to any issues of interest to the group. Design and propose a mode of action to achieve political goals.

This group will advise the organization on legal matters in order to ensure that all activities are in compliance with relevant local, regional and national laws.

This team organizes materials needed for occupation and events. Members are in charge of keeping and tracking equipment and supplies, including medical items, such as first aid kits and signs and posters at events. They are also responsible for proper disposal of waste and recyclables and keeping community areas clean. Also responsible for group funds, monetary dispensation and fundraising events.

In charge of keeping the peace at events and demonstrations. Watch for dangerous and suspicious activities, calm aggressive behavior, diffuse negative situations, and encourage peace and non-reaction.
