We want our zeal with Black Friday's support of local business' to continue in the future. This thread is being opened to offer a floor for ideas in building and maintaining relationships with local business owners, farmers, educators, etc. Basically getting to know and work with our community. Even if your idea isn't fully formed, feel free to share it and perhaps with our collective minds we can make our community stronger and then help others do the same.

I'm pondering some ideas, some of them would be handled by Outreach, Media and Materials.
-- Taking our flyers and maybe doing group mailings? Go through the phone book and mail one flyer per household maybe? Just a single mailing, not repeated "spam" but a single dose of of "FYI". Just and idea to try and reach out to people and make them aware.
-- Maybe propose people to take a small stack of flyers and Info Cards to work with them and display/lay them out on your desk or if you can in an employee general area.
-- Look into 99% buttons that can be warn any time to promote people asking. This in tandem with keeping flyers and Info Cards on hand should help spread the word.
-- Advertise our SoapBox potluck on Craigs list, Newpaper, Facebook, and even local flyers as also being like an... "Occupy Awareness" day to promote walk-ups.
-- We should also start looking to put together welcome packets. Maybe with a small pack of Info cards and flyers they can hand out and a some agreed upon info sheets they can read to get them started.
