Even though it may sound redundant, or superfluous I feel that it might benefit the group to have a teach-in concerning the Consensus Decision Making Process before the next GA. The goal would be to establish a specific purpose for GA, describe and agree upon it's powers(or lack thereof ;D), and a thorough explanation of the process itself(i.e. when announcements are ok, what hand signals mean, etc...)
The reason I feel that doing this is important, is the same reason so many seem frustrated with GA process. We spend an awful lot of time debating instead of passing or tabling proposals. So, as a case in point of this teah-ins necessity, when a proposal is passed perhaps would should attempt to schedule a day and time when a full on debate can actually happen, as opposed to attempting this during the 15 minute recess.
Semi-relatedly, it might be a good idea to do a thorough explanation for each point-of-contact that we have on the internet. Like, where the forum is, and how to use it effectively. This would help the group by making sure that everyone knows where they can have a discussion outside of GA, or get in touch with the Web group, or anything like that, to better streamline the GA process.
I would be willing to lead these particular teach-ins, but anyone who wants to help or that has particular interest in explaining Consensus or area of expertise, HELP ME!
