Dress as "bums" (might be rude) and sing this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9c1vSIpHA0This would probably be really hard to coordinate... Maybe I am being too ambitious, but this song is really too great. Another idea for the free market zombie walk: have a second group trailing behind with brooms and dustpans, wearing shirts that say 99% or something like that ("I am YOU"was my original idea, but that is similarly homogenizing and not as recognizable) cleaning up the mess the zombie-1%ers are making with their money-flinging. This might give mixed signals though... Are the 99% getting rich? Or are they just stuck cleaning up after the 1%? It also has the added benefit of making sure our group doesn't look like a bunch of jerks. When we do this is important, and time sensitive(for me). I HAVE to make my schedule for next week this Thursday. So, I need to know what day to take off. I found this calendar: www.trumba.com/calendars/community_calendar#/?i=1 I don't know how legit it is, but the only significant thing there is a city council meeting. Going to the boardwalk like Dom was talking about might be an awesome idea. I kind of hate how we always seem to be working within a weeks notice though... I FEEL PRESSED FOR PUBLICITY AND DECISIONS! haha

Well I like the ideas, but in the last GA on Sat. (before you got there I think), we talked about going in a more positive direction, i.e. moving from protests to positive actions - feeding the hungry, environmental projects, cultural/musical projects, education, positive mic checks (see the last GA minutes).
I like doing these things you suggest at those important local legislative/political meetings but agree that there needs to be more time to plan and promote. Definitely not this week, I don't think. I feel this takes a couple of weeks to dicuss and coordinate to have the right approach.
Also, the occupy foreclosed homes idea is good (you should explain that here as well). Gary L. might be interested in that since he said he wanted to do actual occupation type stuff. My mom will be going to a foreclosure mediation at the end of this month, and if it does't work out, her home might be a candidate for that.
Would like to hear others weigh in.

Well, at the DAWG meeting we discussed the idea of doing flashmob type stuff of a more fun-and-involved-type thing. Stuff that is symbolic of our interests, but not just waving signs and lecturing; more positive types of motivation. Of course, the hope with this is that more people will want to get involved in the other things we want to do that were also discussed (community garden, home occupation, teach-ins, etc)

Sounds good to me, but I am ok with most things.
